What is SCRA?

SCRA is an acronym standing for Scott County Robotics Alliance. It is an organization started in 2016 in which the robotics teams in Scott County work together to promote robotics and STEM in their respective communities.

Who is involved with SCRA?

SCRA is primarily the five FRC teams in Scott County being, Shakopee, Jordan, Prior Lake, Belle Plaine, and New Prague. However, we have worked with the *FTC and *FLL teams of these cities, as well as *VEX teams in the county.

*(FTC: FIRST Tech Challenge, FLL: FIRST LEGO League, VEX: More info here)

What do you do in SCRA?

SCRA puts efforts towards supporting and promoting STEM and the biggest way we do this is through the Scott County Fair. The organization prepares a large robotics demonstration every day of the Scott County Fair each summer. We are very pleased with the turn out and teach many people about robotics and STEM. In the future, we plan to expand our outreach. In addition to Promoting STEM, the alliance works together to teach and assist each other in robotics. This organization promotes some of the best cooperation between teams in FIRST, and we cheer each other on at competition.
